Webster dance studio offers 'intensive' class in August

The Royal Academy of Fine Arts (RAFA) will hold its Summer Intensive from Monday, Aug. 8, through Saturday, Aug. 13.

The RAFA Summer Intensive is a one-week program that will provide training in ballet, contemporary and musical theater dance with world-renowned teachers Olga Kostritzky and Andrew Palermo.

Kostritzky is a world-recognized ballet teacher/mistress. For 20 years, she served as a faculty member at The School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, the official school of The New York City Ballet.

Palermo is the artistic director and co-founder of dre.dance, a New York City-based contemporary dance company. After nearly two decades of professional performing experience, he maintains a schedule of direction and choreography for stage and screen.

The program will conclude with a performance and reception from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 13.

The program will be held at the Centre Pointe Studio, located at 17170 Mill Forest Road in Webster.
