Clear Lake Baptist announces blood drive, other events
Clear Lake Baptist Church is hosting a variety of events this summer, including a blood drive on July 3.
The second annual Freedom Gives Blood Drive is set from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday. Lunch from Wingstop Wings will be served during the drive. To sign up, visit www.giveblood.org.
Also this summer, Dr. Glenn Young will be discussing Richard Stearns’ The Hole In Our Gospel: The Answer That Changed My Life and Might Just Change the World, during a Boxed Lunch Bible Study group. The group will meet at noon on Wednesdays from July 6 through August 10. Participants can either bring their own lunch or reserve a boxed lunch from Jason's Deli for $5. Drinks will be provided. Summer Home Groups, which include around 15 church members, will begin meeting the week of July 10. These groups meet for six weeks at convenient locations for fellowship and Bible study, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sundays.
