Watch Clear Lake's Christmas boat parade
It's one of the region's most treasured traditions: the Christmas boat parade on Clear Lake.
More than 100,000 people typically turn out for the spectacle of boats decorated in Christmas lights, watching the parade from land and from boats anchored throughout the lake.
This year it happens Saturday, Dec. 12. The city of Nassau Bay kicks things off with its Holiday in the Park from 3 to 5 p.m. at Nassau Bay Park. At 6 p.m., the city sets off the fireworks that signal the start of the parade and smaller boats proceed to the lake, where they are joined by larger boats.
More than 100 brightly decorated power and sailboats will traverse the Clear Lake channel from the and the Nassau Bay Lagoon and South Shore Harbour Marina to Galveston Bay.
