Friendswood traffic patterns to change due to construction

On Monday, June 20, westbound traffic will be limited to one lane on FM 2351 at its intersection with Melody Lane and will remain closed for two weeks.

The contractor on this project will be performing necessary utility work that will require the traffic pattern change.

In addition, beginning on Monday, June 27, the contractor will begin one-way traffic on Melody Lane to perform paving operations. One-way traffic will begin at Longwood Street and flow to FM 2351. Detour signs will be posted along FM 2351, FM 518 and Melody Lane.

The anticipated traffic pattern will remain one way for approximately three to four months.
