Find that special gift for art lovers during University of Houston-Clear Lake's Art Association's art sale.
Artwork for sale includes ceramics, fiber art, painting, sculpture, weaving, printmaking and photography.
When: Nov. 30 to Dec. 5. The hours:
Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. 9 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m. noon
Saturday, 10 a.m. 10 p.m.
Where: University of Houston - Clear Lake's Bayou Building, Atrium I, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston.
Why: The sale benefits the student-run organization and serves as its main fundraising event says UH-Clear Lake Assistant Art Gallery Director Karen Fiscus. Twenty percent of all sales go to the organization and 80 percent to the artist.
Bonus: This year's event will include a raffle drawing for artwork submitted by university faculty members, including Professor of Fine Arts Nick de Vries, Lecturer in Art Jason Makepeace, Associate Professor of Graphic Design Stuart Larson, Professor of Fine Arts Sandria Hu, Associate Professor of Communication Matthew Linton and Assistant Professor of Communication and Digital Media Studies Leo Chan.
