Play in the snow at Blizzard by the Bay
Video from Wirein.cc.
You won't need plane tickets to Grandmother's house this weekend to give your kids a chance to play in the snow.
The Kemah Merchants Association presents Blizzard by the Bay, with machine-blown snow, holiday music from choirs and bands, clowns, face-painting and balloon sculptures. Santa will be there for pictures, too.
When: The snow will start blowing at noon and should be ready for a romp 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21.
Where: 5th and Kipp streets in the Kemah Lighthouse District.
Cost: It's free, but donations are encouraged, with proceeds going to 128 Kemah kids who could use some help having a jolly holiday.
It's all part of this year's Christmas in Kemah, which begins Friday, Nov. 20, with a tree-lighting ceremony and open house at the Kemah Visitors Center. The Lighthouse District event, intended to kick off the holiday shopping season in Kemah, runs through Sunday evening, Nov. 22.
