Wassef leads Clear Lake at state

Led by sophomore Chrissy Wassef's top-20 finish, the Clear Lake Lady Falcons were seventh in Class 5A at the UIL State Meet last week in Round Rock.
Wassef came in 19th individually to lead Clear Lake, which also had Jessie Dean place 29th, and Chrissy's twin sister, Audrey, come in 41st.
Also competing for the Lady Falcons were Macey Zarnick, Julianne Perry and Brooke Jennings.
The Clear Lake boys were 12th and had John Cavallo finish 18th and Tyler Christian 56th, and also had Beau Bennett, Christian Williams, Franklin Stagg, Jeremiah Santos and Chase Johnson competing in the final event of the season.
