Bluegrass association to host free show
The Bay Area Bluegrass Association (BABA) will hold its free bluegrass music show and jam session on Saturday, June 18.
Playing at the show are The Saltgrass Band, Southern Style and Ben & Friends. There will also be a Vocal Harmony Workshop, which is $35 for nonmembers and free to BABA members.
The workshop starts at 6 p.m., and the stage bands begin at 7 p.m. People interested in jamming can bring their instruments and show up earlier. Three jam rooms are available, including a slow jam for beginners.
The BABA kitchen will sell inexpensive food and beverages at the show. No alcohol will be permitted. Bluegrass merchandise will be for sale, and there will also be door prizes and raffles.
The monthly show and jamming are free and are held at the Johnny Arolfo Civic Center, located at 300 W. Walker in League City.
