UH-Clear Lake offers salsa lessons, art exhibit
UH-Clear Lake is offering one free Salsa dance lesson on June 5, followed by the opening of a graduate student art exhibit on June 6.
“Salsa y Salud,” a free introduction to salsa dancing, promises to help attendees keep fit while learning salsa moves taught by professional dancer Raul Edwards on Sunday, June 5.
The free intro to salsa dancing will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, at the university’s Bayou Building, Atrium I, 2700 Bay Area Blvd.

Graduate student artwork will be featured during Graduate Exhibition 2011 in UH-Clear Lake’s Art Gallery Bayou Building. This event was funded with the assistance of the university’s Office of University Advancement, Cultural Arts, and the Office of the Dean of the School of Human Sciences and Humanities, according to the press release.
A public reception will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 8 in the gallery.
These works will be displayed from June 6 through Aug. 25 in UH-Clear Lake’s Art Gallery Bayou Building, Atrium I, Art Gallery, 2700 Bay Area Blvd.
