Three Bay Area Christian students earn Moody scholarships

Three Bay Area Christian School seniors were recently honored at the Moody Foundation Scholarship banquet at Moody Gardens.

Zachary Evenhouse and Shelby Beem were named 2011 Honor Scholars and Varvara Marmarinou was named a 2011 Moody Scholar. Each student received a scholarship from the Moody Foundation, and Zach Evenhouse won a MacBook Pro from the Moody Scholars Program.

Beem plans to attend Southwestern University, and Evenhouse and Marmarinou will attend Texas A&M University in the fall.

The Moody Foundation focuses the majority of its funding on programs involving education, social services, children’s needs and community development.
