League City PD offers 'Collision Avoidance Training' classes for teens
The League City PD has announced that it will be offering local teens Collision Avoidance Training classes in May, June and July.
Collision Avoidance Training classes provide hands-on instruction, teaching teens the skills needed to safely navigate unexpected emergency driving situations.
Automobile crashes are the leading cause of death and injury to teens in the United States and in the Houston area, according to the press release. The League City PD hopes to reduce these sobering numbers by offering this 12-hour program, which teaches teens how to avoid car accidents through defensive driving.
Enrollment is open for classes offered on May 20 through May 21, June 24 through June 25, and July 29 through July 30. To qualify, students must be at least 16 years old, have a valid operator’s license and live in or attend school in the Clear Creek Independent School District.
To enroll, or for more information, call 800-656-6507.
