Construction to begin on Sunnyview, Skyview in Friendswood

A contractor will begin work Thursday on new concrete paving along Sunnyview and Skyview Avenues in Friendswood, the city announced Wednesday morning.

During the work, Sunnyview will be a one-way street, going only eastbound between Friendswood Drive and Quaker Drive. Westbound drivers can detour along Skyview, Clearview, or Spreading Oaks.

"We're not sure how long the change will be in effect, but it will probably range somewhere around five weeks," says Assistant City Manager Nick Haby.
