Friendswood man charged with felony DWI

A Friendswood man with two previous convictions of driving while intoxicated was arrested again last week on the same charge, according to a report from the Friendswood Police Department.

Justin James Bond, 29, is charged with a felony count of DWI and is being held on a $25,000 bond.

An officer stopped Bond on May 5 at about 11 p.m. in the 100 block of East Parkwood Avenue for failing to yield right-of-way and almost crashing into a police car.

According to the report, Bond refused to disconnect a cell phone call when the officer approached, produced an expired insurance card and failed a field sobriety test. Due to his prior DWI convictions, he was taken to the hospital for a mandatory blood draw.
