Friendswood ISD moves board meeting to Friday
Due to a misdated agenda posting, a school board meeting originally scheduled for Monday was canceled at the last minute and moved to this Friday, May 13, at 5:30 p.m.
The Friendswood Independent School District discovered Monday afternoon that a misdated agenda had been posted, according to a press release, and to comply with the Open Meetings Act and avoid confusion, the district rescheduled.
Friday's meeting will be held at the Friendswood ISD Administration Office, 302 Laurel Drive.
The board did complete a few non-business agenda items on Monday, including granting official recognition to the Bales Intermediate robotics team, which recently completed a competition at the state level.
Reps from the Friendswood High School Alumni Associations also drew names for two $1,500 college scholarships. Seniors Nolan Harvey and Melinda Mejstedt got the luck of the draw.
