Water aerobics sessions to be offered in Friendswood

The Friendswood Aquatic Center will host a new session of water aerobics on May 16.

All classes are led by certified water aerobics instructors and are 60 minutes in length. Two- and three-a-week classes are available, and the new session runs through June 30.

Tuesday and Thursday classes, which are held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., are $52.50 for the session, while Monday, Tuesday and Thursday classes take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and are $78.75 for the session. Enrollment in any class is limited to the first 25 paid participants.

The evening classes are deep water only and use Aquajogger equipment. Participants should be comfortable in deep water and will be supported with the Aquajogger buoyancy belt. Other Aquajogger equipment will be added under the guidance of the instructor.

The morning classes will include shallow and deep water workouts. Aquajogger equipment will also be used in these classes.

To register, stop by the Friendswood Aquatic Center between 6:00 am and noon or 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
