HS boys baseball preview: Clear Brook vs. Dulles
Clear Brook will battle Dulles in boys baseball action on Thursday.
"I'm not to sure how we match up with them other than it's playoffs and anything can happen," Clear Brook coach Gene Flores said. "My concern is that they have a very good coach over there who does a tremendous job with his kids and gets the best out of them."
"Clear Brook is obviously a very good team, since they made the playoffs in a tough district," Dulles coach Clinton Welch said. "By all accounts, they have outstanding pitching. Our pitchers have thrown well down the stretch, so we should match up OK."
Flores and Welch each said that he had yet to decide on his pitching, as of Wednesday morning.
The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Clear Brook.
Clear Brook has 15-8-0 record on the season and is 9-5-0 in district play. On Friday, the Wolverines beat Dickinson, 3-2.
Dulles is 22-6-0 on the year and 13-4-0 in district. On Friday, the Vikings beat Elkins, 3-2.
After Thursday’s game, the teams meet again on Friday.
