Friendswood Police Department blotter, May 1
The Friendswood Police Department reported the following incidents from April 25 through May 1.
ASSAULT
April 30, 11:44 p.m.: Eugene Edward Pollard, 26, of Friendswood, was arrested on a charge of assault by contact in the 16400 block of Hibiscus Lane. He is accused of punching a female in the face. Police say Pollard was previously arrested in December 2010 on a charge of assault by contact.
BURGLARY
April 28, 7:27 a.m.: An officer on patrol found the glass doors shattered at the Pho-Yen restaurant, 1612 S. Friendswood Drive. Officers say less than $50 in change was stolen from the restaurant.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
April 29, 5:37 p.m.: A 15-year old male was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief in the 400 block of Broadmoor. The teen had reportedly been skipping school and his punishment had been discussed. In response, the teen allegedly punched the bedroom wall with his fist creating four holes and broke a piece of glassware.
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
April 29, 1:27 a.m.: Gerardo Zuniga, 32, of Houston, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated in the 4000 block of FM 2351. Officers say he was weaving and nearly hit a center median. Zuniga reportedly registered a 0.159 on a breath test.
May 1, 1:27 a.m.: Ermenson Gonzalo Zuniga, 43, of Alvin, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated in the 1200 block of FM 2351. Officers say he was swerving, stopping at green lights and narrowly avoiding collisions with other vehicles. Zuniga reportedly registered .177 on a breath test.
May 1, 9:21 p.m.: Kimberly Ann Conklin, 46, of Pearland, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance in the 3600 block of Sunset Meadows Drive. While being booked into jail, officers say hydrocodone and alprazolam were found in Conklin's purse.
DRUGS
April 26, 3:02 a.m.: Norman Rockwell Henry Jr., 36, of Deer Park, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop in the 5000 block of FM 2351. Officers say they found multiple glass pipes, packets containing 3 grams of methamphetamine and 22 hydrocodone tablets in the vehicle.
April 27, 2:42 a.m.: Jeremy Patrick Dennis, 24, of Houston, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Edgewood Drive.
April 27, 7:17 p.m.: Jeffrey Gordon Ivarson, 40, of League City, and Melissa Anne Lauman, 32, of Alvin, were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Parkwood Avenue. Officers say they found 17.2 grams of methamphetamine along with bags of MDMA (ecstasy), Adderall, alprazolam (Xanax) and marijuana. The drugs were reportedly packaged for distribution.
April 28, 1:55 a.m.: George Anthony Galvan, 27, of Friendswood, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Friendswood Link Road. A packet of marijuana was reportedly found inside the vehicle.
April 28, 4:58 p.m.: Christopher Lyle Connally, 27, of Seabrook, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in the 400 block of West Parkwood Avenue. Officers say he was intoxicated in the parking lot of a daycare center where his child was staying. While being booked into jail, cocaine was allegedly found in a packet inside Connally's billfold.
April 30, 12:56 a.m.: Melissa Gail Miller, 27, of Santa Fe, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia in the 2100 block of South Friendswood Drive. Officers say she was found to have a packet containing cocaine residue in her possession.
May 1, 11:22 p.m.: James Anthony Wiggins Jr., 21, of Houston, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and eluding a police officer. Margaret Catherine Wilkerson, 20, of Houston, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana. Wilkerson, a passenger, allegedly threw litter out the window of a vehicle as it passed a police officer in the 4700 block of FM 2351. When the officer tried to the stop the vehicle, he says the driver pulled over and stopped momentarily but drove away as the officer approached. Wiggins eventually stopped and exited the vehicle. Wiggins and Wilkerson were reportedly found to have marijuana and a glass pipe in their possession.
FRAUD
April 29, 5:51 p.m.: Three unauthorized charges on a credit union debit card were reported by a resident in the 200 block of Westwood Drive. The card has not been out of the owner's possession. He was contacted by the credit union's fraud department when the three charges appeared suspicious. The transactions totaling over $200 were completed at two different stores in Tampa, Florida.
April 30, 5:33 p.m.: A homeowner in the 100 block of Tower Drive reported to police that she was the victim of a Craigslist scam. She purchased a washer and dryer with a parts and maintenance warranty and had it delivered to her home by the seller. When the dryer did not work the next day, she called a technician who showed her parts inside the dryer that were taped together. Attempts to contact the seller were not successful.
PUBLIC INTOXICATION
April 29, 6:25 p.m.: Gregory Steven Huckvale, 40, a transient, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication in the 3100 block of West Bay Area Boulevard. He was reportedly intoxicated and upsetting customers at Kroger.
THEFT
April 25, 2:23 p.m.: Copper electrical wire was reported as stolen from a home under construction in the 300 block of Grand Ranch. The wire was reportedly taken sometime between April 22 and April 25.
April 25, 2:52 p.m.: A woman reported $200 in cash as missing from a home in the 400 block of Bellmar Lane following an overnight stay by a friend.
April 27, 2:03 p.m.: A business credit card was reported stolen from Malibu Tan, 136 W. Parkwood Ave. The card was reportedly used at the Friendswood Walmart and a Clear Lake CVS pharmacy on April 20.
April 28, 6:56 p.m.: A hairstylist who makes house calls is accused of
stealing a billfold from a home in the 16100 block of Forest Bend
Avenue. When the victim gave the hairstylist a ride home, she says she was distracted by her cell phone, providing the hairstylist with an opportunity to take a billfold from the center console.
