Toga fun run set for May 7 in Seabrook
The 18th annual Clear Lake Greek Festival is holding a Toga 7k Fun Run on Saturday, May 7.
The course starts and ends at the festival grounds in Clear Lake Park. Online registration is available at togafunrun.eventbrite.com. Registration on the day of the event runs from 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. Runners will receive a T-shirt, water and a continental breakfast buffet. The cost of the event is $20.
Groups of four or more can participate in the Toga Run Team Challenge and win prizes. Prizes will be awarded for largest team as well as the team raising the most money in pledges. Groups should name a team captain and create a team name.
A round-up ceremony will be held after the race. Top participants in each age group will be recognized and pledge prizes will be awarded.
Runners are encouraged to wear a toga.
