Suit centers on Webster lease agreement
A River Oaks landlord is suing after, it says, a tenant in Webster failed to pay operating expenses and maintain the premises as contracted.
River Oaks’ Savjani Inc. filed a lawsuit on April 21 in the Harris County District Court against Beckman Coulter Inc. and Danaher Corp., alleging breach of contract and conversion.
Savjani says that on Oct. 11, 2005, it entered into a five-year contract, agreeing to lease the defendant 54,364 square feet of commercial property, located at 445 Medical Center Blvd. in Webster. According to the brief, the defendant breached their agreement by, among other things, failing to pay property taxes, water, sewage and drainage fees, as well as removing Internet cables and security systems.
Savjani is seeking damages of at least $245,000, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Katy attorney Dulcie Wink.
