Behold the pretty red and green lights
I saw the most beautiful red and green lights today. Now before you accuse me of getting my Christmas groove on before Thanksgiving, I am not talking about any type of decoration. I am talking about the new traffic lights that have been installed at I-45 and League City Parkway.
A few months ago I blogged about how this new intersection gave me an hour of my life back each week. However, not long after that I began to feel as if I was taking my life into my own hands just trying to determine if it was my turn to cross at the stop sign.
There were very few instances when I did not hear horns honking - and no I don't think they were always honking at me. There was such poor visability there that it was always difficult to figure out which car arrived first. Then there were the wide turns that some cars had to take while others were going straight because they thought they were in the clear. I lived in fear of being t-boned or at the very least the victim of an obscence gesture.
Anyway, all is well now and I breeze through the intersection without a care in the world. I have never been so happy to see a traffic light go up in all my driving years!
