Friendswood resident wins new car

Katrina Krch of Friendswood recently won a new Mazda CX-7 from Finger Furniture and Joe Myers Mazda.

Krch admits she has never won anything of real significance, but entering a drawing for the car changed that. "We were shopping in the Finger Furniture store on the Gulf Freeway and saw the contest entry forms to win a new car and other prizes," Krch recalls. "My only thought was that I didn't have anything to lose, so why not enter."

Weeks later, her name was drawn from among thousands of entries collected during the month-long grand opening celebration of Finger Furniture's new store in Willowbrook.

"When I found out I won, it really took a while to sink in. I couldn’t believe it," Krch said as she accepted the keys to the new car at Joe Myers Mazda with her husband, Kasey. "I never thought shopping for furniture could lead to driving off in a new car."

Though Katrina's name was drawn, Kasey is pleased to now retire his 25-year-old truck.

The four-door SUV was presented to Katrina by Joe Myers Mazda Partner Elizabeth Samuel. This wasn't the Krchs' first visit to the dealership. The family purchased a new car from Joe Myers Mazda several years ago.
