Man sought in sexual assault of teen
Webster police are asking for help finding Anthony Terrell Jackson, who's accused of sexually assaulting a teen-ager at a Clear Lake motel and posting her nude photo on the Internet with the intent of turning her into a prostitute.
Jackson, 28, is charged with sexual assault and promotion of child pornography.
Webster Police Chief Ray Smiley said the 17-year-old girl met Jackson through a friend in Houston, and he took her to a motel on West Bay Area Boulevard, holding her there a few days and forcing her to submit to sex acts by threatening to hurt her. Police said Jackson took photographs of the victim and posted them in the classified section of an Internet site advertising escorts.
The girl was eventually able to sneak a phone call to her father, who helped her escape and called police, and Jackson was arrested on Oct. 26 following an investigation by Webster officers.
Webster Police Chief Ray Smiley said the suspect was initially booked on a marijuana possession charge, but he gave investigators his brother's name and he was soon released from the Harris County Jail with time served. Now that police know his real identity and he's also charged with sexual assault and child pornography, authorities can't find him. He's also wanted in Illinois for violating his parole in a robbery conviction, Smiley said.
Warrants for Jackson's arrest have been issued by the 185th District Court. He is believed to be in the Houston area.
Jackson, who's 28 years old, is 5'10" tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and at the time of the incident he had a thin beard.
