Man claims business partner owes on Seabrook home

The co-owner of a Seabrook home is suing his business partner for allegedly not paying her share of the money owed on the property.

Chris Lab filed a lawsuit Feb. 23 in Harris County District Court against Pamela Joanne Black.

Lab says he and Black co-own property on Beacon Hill Drive valued at $450,000. According to the complaint, Lab and the League City woman each own 50 percent.

Lab claims he paid $3,600 for the down payment, more than $108,000 in mortgage payments and nearly $19,000 in insurance on the property. He says he has also paid nearly $44,000 in property taxes and maintenance for the Seabrook house.

The Seabrook man claims he has received less than $5,000 from Black. He is asking to be repaid, pro rata, or be given sole ownership of the property.

Attorney Susan M. Edmonson, of Seabrook, is representing Lab.
