Clear Creek sending seven wrestlers to state tournament
Clear Creek ISD is sending seven wrestlers to the University Interscholastic League Wrestling State Tournament on Feb. 25 and Feb. 26.
Representing Clear Lake High School are senior Thomas Porzillo, 119-pound weight class; junior Daniel Rivera, 130-pound weight class; and senior James Porzillo, 145-pound weight class.
Competing from Clear Brook will be senior Jacob Dolifka, 152-pound weight class.
Clear Springs High School will be represented by freshman Cassiday Jasperson, 110-pound weight class; junior Elaina Dittrich, 148-pound weight class; and senior Timmora Davis, 215-pound weight class.
The boys' first-round championship starts at 9 a.m., while the girls' starts at noon on Friday. On Saturday, girls' round 4 and consolation matches start at 9 a.m., and boys' start at 10 a.m. The doors will be open to the public one hour prior to the beginning of wrestling each day.
All seating is general admission. Spectators wishing to come and go during the day must buy an all-tournament pass; there will be no in-and-out privileges. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students each day. An all-tournament pass costs $18.
