FHS choir members earn superior ratings at competition
Fifty-two choir members from Friendswood High School (FHS) recently earned Division 1-Superior ratings at the UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Angleton High School.
The students that earned Division 1 ratings on Class One solos will advance to the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest. These students are Brittany Armstrong, Justin Barringer, Katie Barton, Katie Beaman, Zach Brinkman, Brianna Bush, Lacey Collins, Kayla Cox, Elisabeth Del Toro, Kalli Delka, Brittany Dolezal, Austin Edwards, Kristen Foster, Josh Gates, Michael Goodman, Michael Gregory, Ellie Herder, Ashlee James, Haider Khan, Christin Knight, Emily Kowis, Jasmine Li, James Lipscomb, Vinnie Mahal, Emily Nagel, Grace O'Donovan, Rose Oliver, Ariana Randal, Jamie Royle, Rachel Slusky, Nathan Stevens, Tommy Stuart, Caleb Wimer and David Zurawski.
Students who received a Division 1 rating on a Class Two solo are Briana Clark, Julia Conger, Marissa Froneberger, Catherine Harrison, Alex Henderson, Regan Hughes, John Paul Hyde, Kirsten Mangan, Bryan Markley, Nita Ortiz, Jenny Plackemeier, Alex Semple and Maddy Zimmerman.
The students who earned a Division One rating on a Class Three solo are Janae Bonnen, Leila Johnson, Samantha McHenry, Kelly Pitman and Kayla Ramirez.
And receiving Division 2-Excellent ratings were Conner Borne, Lindsey Davenport and Gabrielle Thornhill.
The FHS Choir Directors are Janwin Overstreet-Goode and Beth Wallace.
