Friendswood FFA students excel at San Antonio livestock showing
Mrs. Sarah Van Riper, Brianna Stafford, Sarah Velky, Mr. Trevor Reifel, Hayley Van Riper and Shelby Giles show and represent Friendswood ISD at the San Antonio Livestock show.
Friendswood Future Farmers of America (FFA) students recently participated in the San Antonio Livestock Show.
Brianna Stafford showed an Angus while Sarah Velky showed a Red Brangus and won First in Class. Hayley Van Riper showed a Maine Anjou cow and calf pair and won Third in Class, while Shelby Giles showed a Simmental and won First in Class. And, Macy Taliaferro showed a Simbrah and won Tenth in Class.
“These FFA students have worked hard all year raising their heifers,” said FFA sponsor Trevor Reifel. “Shows are open to the public, so come on out and give our kids some support.”
The students will be showing at the Houston Livestock Show in March and at the Galveston County Livestock show in April.
