Community partners 'adopt' 32 grants to teachers in Friendswood
A local school's "Adopt a Grant" program received 32 grants during its first year.
Friendswood Independent School District recently announced that it has received 32 grants since implementing its “Adopt a Grant” program one year ago.
“Adopt a Grant” offers community partners the opportunity to choose school projects they would like to fund. The district says that Foundation Director Edwina Vidosh was the first person this year to adopt a grant by purchasing a green screen package for the school’s Media Broadcasting Department.
The Foundation reported that last year, over $20,000 in grants were adopted by local individuals and groups through the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation.
