League City seeks bid on oak tree removal
League City is accepting bids through March 1 for the relocation and removal of live oak trees on Louisiana Avenue.
The five trees, ranging in diameter from about 25 to 49 inches, are on a property owned by Ajay Jain near the intersection of FM 518 and Louisiana Avenue. According to city documents, four trees need to be moved about 1,120 feet south to new locations within the property, and the fifth needs to be removed entirely.
The tree removal is connected with a paving improvement project proposed for Louisiana Avenue. The winning bidder will move the trees under the supervision of the city's urban forester.
The lowest responsible bidder will be determined by whether the contractor has a permanent place of business, adequate equipment, suitable financial status and appropriate technical experience.
For more information on the bid, contact John Lothrop at 281-554-1433 or john.lothrop@leaguecity.com, or visit here.
