Bridal shop to provide military brides with dresses
Military brides will have the opportunity to receive a free wedding gown thanks to a partnership of charitable organization Brides Across America and bridal salon Impression Bridal.
Wedding gowns will be given to qualified brides on a first come, first serve basis on March 8 and March 9 at Impression Bridal stores in the Baybrook and Galleria areas.
In order to receive a gown brides must be engaged. They must also be on active military duty, or have a fiancé on active duty in either Iraq or Afghanistan. All brides must show their IDs, copies of their deployment papers and orders, or other qualifying proof.
Impression Bridal in the Baybrook area is located at 18980 Gulf Freeway, Unit A, in Friendswood. The Galleria-area salon is at 3005 S. Loop W., Unit 100, in Houston.
“Many soldiers come back injured and take severe pay cuts. It makes it very difficult to make ends meet -- not to mention have a dream wedding. The least we can do is to help them have a magical day!” said Heidi Janson, founder of Brides Across America.
