Webster restaurant sued over slip and fall
A woman is suing a restaurant in Webster after, she says, its slick floor caused her to slip and fall.
Melanie Britt filed a lawsuit on Feb. 15 in the Harris County District Court against Cheddar's Casual Café in Webster, alleging negligence.
Britt says that on Sept. 8, 2009, she was seriously injured when she slipped and fell on the restaurant’s slippery floor. Britt states her slip and fall was the result of a slick residue left on the floor by a chemical cleaner.
Britt is seeking actual damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Michael Watson.
