ESL teacher Stephen Cloyd honored

Stephen Cloyd receives his award.

Stephen Cloyd, an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Friendswood ISD, was honored for "Making a Difference" at the Feb. 14 school board meeting.

Westwood Elementary Principal Lynn Hobratschk praised Cloyd, saying that he is an asset and a caring community mentor to ESL students and their families.

Superintendent Trish Hanks and school board member Ralph Hobratschk also recognized Cloyd and presented him with a certificate and statuette.
