Bay Area Christian School takes first place at academic competition
Sixth grade and Jr. High students from Bay Area Christian School garnered 29 academic and 7 grade-level achievement awards at this year's Lutheran High North Academic Quest, which earned Bay Area Christian 1st Place in its division.
The annual competition, which was held on Jan. 26, included 14 middle school teams from Houston area private schools. In addition to grade-level academics, students were tested this year on specialized topics such as anatomy, U.S. presidents, mathematical computations, Texas trivia, and shells.
The Bay Area Christian School team included Jackson Bouley, Peter Muller, Jonathan Kennedy, Paul Williams and Niki Morris.
Bay Area Christian School, 4800 W. Main St., League City, serves the suburban southeast Houston area. Students include residents from League City, Clear Lake, South Houston, Friendswood, Dickinson, and other nearby communities.
