HS girls basketball: Clear Creek defeats Alvin
Clear Creek squeaked by Alvin 44-40 in District 24-5A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.
Clear Creek jumped out to an early 15-4 lead and saw the lead gradually disappear, but still never lost it.
The win ends Clear Creek’s season at 17-14 and 8-6 in district play.
Adrienne Phillips led her team to the victory with 12 points.
The loss closes the season for Alvin at 7-19 and 2-11 in district play.
Taylur Owens scored 18 points in the loss.
