Friendswood High School announces science fair winners

Friendswood High School recently announced the winners of its science fair.
 
In the category of Animal Science, Gabriella Quintana won first place.

In Behavioral/Social Sciences, Briahna Yarberry placed first and Shannon Ellis placed second.

Mathew Laitkep placed first in Chemistry.

In Computer Sciences, Roma Pradhan won first place and Joe Rogers took second.

Five places were won in the Energy and Transportation category. Sheena Mohebalian and Laura Bradley tied for first place, Steven Auzenne took second, Michael Laitkey won third and Daniel Bradley came in fourth.

Five places were also given in Engineering. Asgari-Tari Nader was presented first place, Alexandra Wilson second, Blake Crawford third, Benjamin Burdick fourth and David Bordelon, fifth.

In Environmental Science, Madeline Landon won first place, Caroline Landon took second place, Traci Bordelon came in third, Julia Conger came in fourth and Janae Bonnen took fifth place.

Ariana Rivera received first place in Medicine/Health with Karmina Martinez in second place.

Ryan Bynum was first in Microbiology.

In Physics, Jamie McCullough won first place with Derek Janak in second, John Coates tied for third place with Jasmine Li, Rachel Goeken received fourth place and Chandika Silva received fifth place.

Jamie McCullough was awarded first place in Eighth Grade Overall at the science fair. Benjamin Burdick received second place.

In the Senior Biological Sciences Division, Madeline Landon received first place and Gabriella Quintana took second.

And in the Senior Physical Sciences Division, Sheena Mohebalian was named first place with Laura Bradley, second.

The science fair was under the direction of Dawne Welch and Rebecca Clarkand, with student mentoring offered by teacher Theresa Lawrence.
