Friendswood color guard team takes first-place honors
Friendswood High School’s Varsity Color Guard took first place at the Texas Color Guard Circuit Show in Dawson on Saturday, Feb. 5.
The show, “A Great Mystery,” featured music from The Choral Project and hand-painted costumes by Jenifer Sundrla.
The Varsity Color Guard is comprised of Erin Brayley, Andrea Kahn, Caitlin Laird, Sarah Sokorah, Torie Thomas, Lindsey Williams, McKenna Woetjen, Devan DeLosSantos, Kourtney Deschner, Alex Hemphill, Miranda Koehn, Emily Sharp, Samantha Weist, Hayley Boswell, Alli Ess, Nicole Krause, Angie Puebla and Hannah Ratliff. The director is Ron Barnett.
The Varsity Color Guard was promoted to Open Class last year from Winter Guard International.
