Clear Creek's McElroy to stay in Houston
Clear Creek senior C.J McElroy has decided to stay close to home, signing to play for Houston next fall.
At 5 feet, 9 inches and 165 pounds, McElroy was a star running back with his high school team and contributed as a wide-out as well. He is expected to play wide receiver with Houston.
In his senior season, McElroy rushed for 1,523 yards on 181 carries and caught 21 passes for 339 yards. He also scored 25 touchdowns on the ground and added three more TD receptions.
McElroy was recruited to Houston by Tony Levine.
