Take time out for tea to help save a mansion

A local non-profit group called Preserved in Time is staging high tea and art party to help raise funds to buy and restore the West Mansion on the shores of Clear Lake.
The mansion, built in the 1920s by entrepreneur James West, is a Texas Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places but it's up for sale.
Preserved in Time ultimately needs to raise $25 million to carry out its plan to turn the mansion into a museum, a tea room and a venue for events such as weddings.
When: Sunday, Nov. 15.
Where: Nassau Bay's Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake.
Tickets: $20, available at the door or online.
