League City seeks contractor to sell off broken marble
League City is accepting sealed bids until Feb. 10 for the sale of Italian travertine marble.
Up for bid are about 250 full, 3-by-5-foot sheets of travertine marble and about 200 partial or broken sheets. The marble was removed from the exterior of League City's City Hall building. Each full sheet weighs about 250 pounds.
The marble will be sold to the highest bidder. Payment must be received within seven calendar days and made in cash, cashier's check or money order. The buyer must remove the marble within 10 days of paying.
