Law suit centers on Clear Lake commercial property

The owner of a commercial building in Clear Lake is suing to collect rent.

Hanover Annuities LLC filed a lawsuit on Feb. 1 in the Harris County District Court against S. Bengston Consultants, alleging breach of contract.

Hanover says that on Sept. 2009, it entered into a five-year lease agreement with the defendant for office space, located at 2100 NASA Parkway in Clear Lake. According to the brief, Hanover fulfilled all of its contractual duties, including changing the space to accommodate the defendant’s call center, yet the defendant failed to take possession of and pay for the property.
