New Seabrook councilman eager to get to work
With Seabrook's tax base still reeling in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, newly elected Seabrook Position 5 Councilman Thom Kolupski is ready to focus on rebuilding it.
On Tuesday, the architectural engineering consultant celebrated his 59th birthday by beating flight attendant Sean Riley by a count of 303-223 during an election to fill the unexpired 31-month term of former Seabrook Councilman Tom Diegelman. He will serve until May 2012.
Kolupski is vice chairman of the city's Planning and Zoning Commission. He has lived in Seabrook for 10 years and succeeds the controversial Diegelman,
