Clear Springs and Brazoswood have clinched 24-5A playoff berths, and Clear Springs goes for the outright district championship at 7 p.m. tonight at Dickinson.
It was a big step to get that first playoff berth, and we're happy about it, but we really want the championship all to ourselves," Clear Springs coach Clint Hartman said. Dickinson can get a share of it by winning, and Brazoswood could also get part of it if they beat Ball (on Friday), so we still have some work to do."
Dickinson, Ball and Clear Creek, which meets Clear Lake this week, are going for 24-5A's other two postseason spots.
The Clear Creek game against Clear Lake takes place at 7 p.m. Friday at the district's Veterans Memorial Stadium in League City.
