Clear Lake arts alliance to host art auction

The Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake (TAACCL) will be holding its fourth annual "Small Works by Great Minds" art auction on Thursday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m.

Over 100 Bay Area-Houston artists will be featuring their own takes on miniature works of art at this fundraising event. The art, which can be in any medium in any subject, must be no larger than 11 inches by 14 inches.

The silent auction releases the first 25 artworks off the wall at 7:30 p.m. The second wave of art will be taken off to the highest bidder at 8 p.m. The live auction begins at 8:30 p.m., and then the last of all art will be closed at 9 p.m.

Patrons can preview and bid on the silent auction artworks during TAACCL’s regular business hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting Tuesday, Feb 1.

The evening’s emcee is Pam Culpepper, and the auctioneer is Steve Phelps. Music will be provided by Fuzzy Side Up, and the catering will be provided by Family Cuisine. There will be a cash bar.

Tickets are $10 per person and are available at the door or in advance at www.taaccl.org.
