Friendswood reporting no damage after flood advisory
Friendswood's Emergency Operations Center relayed an "urban and small stream
flood advisory" from the National Weather Service on Wednesday night, but
city officials say there's no damage to report so far.
The warning, issued Wednesday for northwestern Chambers County, northwestern
Galveston County, southeastern Harris County, and Liberty County, said that
heavy rain might cause flooding in small creeks, streams, and bayous.
"Creeks are full but not out of bank," Friendswood Public Information
Officer Nick Haby said Thursday afternoon. "Other than monitoring, we took
no action out of the ordinary."
