Bay Area Chorus plans concert featuring 19th-century works
The Bay Area Chorus’ Women’s Chorus and Mixed Chorus will perform a Major Works Concert on Monday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m.
Presented by the Bay Area Chorus, the Women’s Chorus will perform Joseph Rheinberger’s “Mass in A,” and the Mixed Chorus will perform Franz Schubert’a “Mass in G” while accompanied by an orchestra.
Now in its 46th season, the Bay Area Chorus performs a varied selection throughout the Houston area in its regular concert season and with special concerts. Under the direction of Keith Dixon, the chorus has expanded to include the Women’s Chorus and Mixed Chorus.
The concert will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church at 18220 Upper Bay Road in Nassau Bay.
Tickets are $10 in advance. At the door, tickets are $15 for adults, and $12 for students and seniors over 65.
