HS girls basketball: Clear Creek defeats Dickinson
The Clear Creek Wildcats (6-3) defeated the Dickinson Gators (8-7) 50-42 Monday in girls basketball.
Clear Creek led 19-14 at half and ensured the victory outscoring Dickinson 32-28 during the second half.
Five-foot, 7-inch Wildcats sophomore guard Brentley Branch led all players in scoring with 18 points and her senior backcourt mate Callie Parsley contributed 12 points to the win.
Branch is averaging 18 points per game this season for Clear Creek.
2010 all-district second team selection and Dickinson senior guard Brittany Simmons led the Gators in scoring with 17 points.
