Friendswood ISD planning Cuban-themed Valentine's gala
The Friendswood ISD Education Foundation currently is planning its Valentine weekend gala, "Havana Blues," to be held at the eclectic Hotel ZaZa in Houston.
The Cuban-themed "Havana Blues" will be Feb 12, 2011, and will feature the 10-piece band, Shape-Shifters.
Items are being collected for both live and silent auctions. The auction will feature "Adopt-a-Grant," in which people can buy grants to support Friendswood ISD.
Table reservations are recommended as soon as possible, as space is limited. Reservations can be made at the FISD Education Foundation administration building or by visiting its website at www.fisdk12.net/foundation. Tickets are $125 per person or $1,250 for a 10-person table.
Chairing this year's fundraiser are Foundation directors CiCi Newkirk, Selena Ellis and Lesley DiBello.
