Friendswood announces Christmas tree disposal information
The City of Friendswood has announced its schedule for holiday trash pick-up and Christmas tree disposal.
Trash collection will run as scheduled on Dec. 23, 24 and 31. However, there will be no trash collection on Saturday, Dec. 25, and Saturday, Jan. 1. After these Saturdays, pick-up will resume on its normal schedule the following Wednesday.
Non-flocked Christmas trees will be picked up curbside for recycling. Flocked trees also will be picked up, but will be thrown away with the trash. Trees must be bare, without tinsel or tree stands. Trees must be 5 feet or shorter, and may be cut in half to meet the requirement.
For more information, call the City of Friendswood at 281-996-3232.
