Friendswood High School names 2010 Distinguished Alumni
The Friendswood High School (FHS) Alumni Committee has selected the 2010 FHS Distinguished Alumni.
This year, the selection committee has chosen to honor five FHS graduates and one honorary alumnus.
The alumni include artist Tanna Bennett (’80), EMS Chief for the City of Friendswood Lisa Camp (’79), movie and television writer and producer Chris Henchy (’82), carpenter and small business owner Kim Reed (’75), and pianist and piano teacher Carol Cline Vaughn (’45). Friendswood historian and author Joycina Baker will be this year’s honorary alumnus.
The Distinguished Alumni will be honored at a reception on Friday, Feb. 11, in the new library at FHS. The next evening, Feb. 12, the six will be recognized during the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation gala, "Havana Blues," at the Hotel ZaZa.
