KPRC: Man, 82, arrested after Nassau Bay SWAT standoff
An 82-year-old man is in custody after a SWAT standoff in Nassau Bay,
Houston NBC affiliate KPRC reports.
Investigators said the man was holed up alone in the home with five guns,
including rifles and shotguns. Several law enforcement agencies worked
together to handle the situation.
The man does not have a history of violence but may have mental issues,
officials said. Officers fired pepper gas into the home and rushed inside at
about 7:30 p.m. They shot the man with foam pellets. He was taken into
custody and taken to the hospital.
