HS girls basketball: Clear Brook defeats Sterling
Clear Brook defeated Sterling 40-37 in girls basketball action on Thursday.
Sterling entered the fourth quarter with a 27-25 lead, but Clear Brook came on strong to finish with the three-point victory.
Clear Brook evened its record at 4-4 on the season.
Senior Courtney Lindsey scored 15 points to lead her team in the win.
Clear Brook next hosts Pearland in district play on Friday at 7 p.m.
Sterling fell to 2-4 with the loss.
Senior Brittany Crowe led the team with 12 points in the losing effort.
In its next game, Sterling will host Dobie on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
